Following our back-to-back stints at the Royalton Splash and Royalton Bavaro, we embarked on the final chapter of our family hotel-hopping adventure - The Westin in Punta Cana. Positioned to soak up Punta Cana's Caribbean elegance, the luxury hotel immediately seduced us with its striking ambiance, amplified by an immaculate pool and the beach, rippling away into the oceanic infinity.
Among the prime attributes that enchanted us about The Westin was its spatial generosity. From the expansive open spaces that enabled easy mobility, particularly for our child, to our rooms boasting scenic vistas of the glistening pool and the hypnotizing ocean, The Westin embodied the epitome of luxury with room to breathe.
One of the best aspects of our stay at the Westin was undoubtedly the array of on-site dining options it provides. You can find several eateries, from casual to sophisticated ambiance. Brassa Grill & Bar - My first dinner at the resort was here, and I wasn’t disappointed. It serves mouthwatering grilled specialties with an exquisite ocean view. You must try their delightful local and international cuisine.
Anani Restaurant - Our favorite for breakfast. An excellent buffet-style breakfast awaits here every morning with an array of pastries, cereals, fresh fruits, and much more. For lunch and dinner, it becomes an à la carte restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine. Their Seafood Paella is a must-try!
Don Queco Cigar & Rum Bar - Perfect for relaxing in the evenings, the bar offers a wide variety of local and international drinks with an extensive list of hand-rolled Dominican cigars. A place to experience Punta Cana's nightlife!
For recommendations, make sure to visit Playa Blanca, the resort’s private beach - it's a little slice of paradise with turquoise water and powdery sand. You might also want to check out their spa and wellness center for rejuvenating treatments. The resort also features the impressive La Cana Golf Course. Even if you’re not an avid golfer, walking the course is a serene experience.
Unmatched in terms of location, the Westin served as a comfortable launchpad to delve into the shopping scenes and buzzing city life of Punta Cana. The proximity to the airport and mall was undeniably a convenience, allowing us to saunter around, grabbing souvenirs, exploring local food haunts, and relishing in the authentic essence of this lively Dominican town.
Also, remember to explore beyond the resort as Punta Cana has many beautiful attractions such as Hoyo Azul, a natural blue hole cave or taking a day trip to Isla Saona.
To sum it up, Westin Puntacana Resort & Club offers an outstanding experience with its comfort, quality dining options, and engaging activities. It's a destination that you'd love to revisit!
